Who am I kidding...    (posted: 11 Dec 2004)    A bit of melancholy.  The images in the background are just window-dressing.   A weeks worth of writer's block was broken with this little introspective - so I am happy.

  The Birthday Deal    (posted: 6  Dec 2004)   A contest entry, I used to be a member of a writing site and one of the other members was turning thirty and admitted to being still afraid of roaches.  She sponsored a contest to write about that - a fear of roaches and she would judge.  I missed the deadline due to illness but submitted it anyway hoping she could enjoy it anyway.  My submission was also a bit over the 1500 word limit - but I didn't worry about that due to the circumstances.  She loved it and awarded me with first prize.
